Stephen Hawking to be remembered at 2019 Breakthrough Prize ceremony
Puncture Brosnan will have the service.
The Breakthrough Prize, yearly science grants supported by some of Silicon Valley’s most conspicuous names, will respect the late Stephen Hawking at its honor service one month from now.
On Tuesday, the Breakthrough Prize said Pierce Brosnan will have the seventh yearly service, which will be hung on Nov. 4. The social occasion will incorporate a tribute to Hawking, who kicked the bucket in March. The Breakthrough Prize granted a Special Fundamental Physics Prize to Hawking in 2013 for his disclosure that dark gaps transmit radiation and his commitments to the comprehension of quantum gravity.
This year, seven prizes – every worth $3 million – will be granted to remarkable researchers in life sciences, basic material science and arithmetic. The prizes are supported by Sergey Brin, Priscilla Chan and Mark Zuckerberg, Ma Huateng, Yuri and Julia Milner, and Anne Wojcicki.
The current year’s service will be communicated on National Geographic beginning at 7 p.m. PT and spilled live on the Facebook and YouTube pages of the Breakthrough Prize and National Geographic TV.
